\nIn France it is the ordinance of the 21st of July 2015 that lays down the obligations with respect to community or private wastewater sanitation systems for population equivalents (PE) of more than 20.
\nBefore installing or modifying a wastewater treatment plant requests must be filed, and authorizations obtained from the regulatory authorities.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n\n
\nFor population equivalents greater than 200 it is DREAL (environment, land development and housing department or DDTM (land and sea development agency) associated with the Water Police that process the applications. In the latter case depending on the nature of the project you can either simply inform the authorities\u201d or file a full request under the French Water Law. The sizing unit for wastewater treatment plants is the \u201cpopulation equivalent\u201d or PE as defined by Article R2224-6 of the French Local Authorities Code. This allows for the easy determination of production capacity with respect to expected pollution load.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nApplications<\/span><\/h1>\n
